Rachael Cocker

I graduated as a physiotherapist in 2005.

I have worked in several musculoskeletal private practises, and for various sports teams and athletes, across local, national and international levels.

I was introduced to Pilates after my own spinal injury. My personal experience with the Pilates method made me realise how beneficial this positive approach to rehabilitation and fitness is.

I am certified by Polestar Pilates International as a Comprehensive Rehabilitation Instructor.

I have more recently discovered CrossFit. Understanding the fundamentals behind the functional movements that are performed in CrossFit has helped me with my health, fitness and my continued holistic approach to physiotherapy.

I enjoy analysing the biomechanics of movement dysfunction and being able to facilitate a correction to this, creating a positive movement experience.

I believe when you create a positive movement experience, you are able to step forward without pain. The more you are able to move pain-free, the more confidence you gain, and therefore create a healthy rehabilitative cycle.

In my spare time I spend time with my husband and young family, doing CrossFit and Pilates, and enjoying the outdoors.
